The escalators are came to existence in 1892,and still now there is nothing changed in the design are its specification because it has some major dangerous factors that are harmful for humans.When the moving stairs disappears beneath them,all matter of clothings and body parts get stuck at that moment.Recently a small girl get torn in the escalators in Singapore.

Escalator Function

One of the worst accident in Escalator happened in London in 1987.Underground station Escalator exploded and 31 people died.The cause was due to pounds of papers and grease stuck in the inner part of Escalator this emergency buttons and some safety precautions are made in Escalators.

In 2002 Delhi metro system got an existence with escalators and found to be spread all over India which is spread with papers,dust and sari clothings sting into the grease inside the escalators. The Platforms also prevented by Sari-wearing cloths from getting caught.

Last Year an Mechanical engineering student at City University came to know about this serious issue in escalators.He founded a moving staircase called Levytator that doesn't double back on itself like a conveyor belt instead of it loops so that a single installed escalator is actually a two moving stair cases.In-between that the Levytator acts as a walking stairway.So that regular escalator must be fully dismantled.

So people have to be very safe while in escalators and be cautious.Every technology has some disadvantage so we have to take care of that disadvantage .
